This is an Apprenticeship Programme where participants will receive training in one of the following trades, Millwright, Auto Electrician, Fitter & Turner discipline. Successful participants will be employed in an hourly position for the duration of the programme (4 years).

Responsibilities

• {A Millwright installs, maintains, and repairs industrial machinery; They read technical drawings, diagnose mechanical issues, operate tools and equipment, and ensure all work is done safely and efficiently;They also dismantle and move machines when necessary and often work closely with engineers and technicians}
• {An Auto Electrician installs, maintains, and repairs electrical systems in vehicles; They diagnose electrical faults, fix wiring issues, install new components like batteries, lights, and alarms, and use diagnostic tools to ensure systems function correctly; They also follow safety protocols and may work with mechanics to ensure overall vehicle performance}
• {A Fitter & Turner builds, fits, assembles, and maintains mechanical components and machinery; They read technical drawings, operate lathes and milling machines, perform precision measurements, and ensure all parts fit and function correctly;They also repair worn parts and help keep industrial equipment in good working condition}

Qualifications

• Millwright {NTC3 Electrical/Mechanical, Maths, Eng Science or Technical Matric with Maths (Pure Maths), Engineering Science, Electrical Trade Theory or Mechanical Trade Theory, Technical Drawing, Graphical Design
• Workshop experience in the trade related discipline (advantageous)}
• Auto Electrician
